A New 4 Star 154 Bedroom upmarket hotel with an ultra-cool rooftop bar situated as the name suggests in the heart of the city. Engaged by the project M&E Contractors, Olympian Fire Protection Ltd Conducted the design, supply, installation testing and commissioning of the following life safety system. Fire Detection Alarm System A multi loop Cerberus pro Siemens analogue addressable fire detection and alarm system featuring full voice alarm notification and incorporating vibrating pillow discs for accessible bedrooms. Mechanical Smoke Ventilation System A Two shaft mechanical smoke ventilation system serving lobby area with damper and associated fire control switches. Standby with duty fans and controls at roof level with all associated ductwork. In addition, 4 stairwells were also vented with roof mounted ventilators with associated fire control switches. CFD Modelling was also carried out by Olympian Fire Protection Ltd. Disabled Refuge & Assistance alarms A combined refuge alarm communication system covering refuge area on escape staircase and providing two-way speech to control at the fire fighter’s entrance and reception area. Disabled alarm kits connected to the refuge system featuring pull cord, reset buttons and overdoor indicator, lights and sounders have been provided in all accessible bedrooms and bathrooms.
